Jason E. "Tope-Tah" Delg

Jason Edward “Tope-Tah” Delg, 53, of Lawrence, KS, passed away Monday, July 13, 2026 at his home. He was born March 14, 1973 in Burbank, CA, the son of Dale Irvin Delg and Michelle Bernadette (Rouse) Delg.

Jason was a machine operator for Berry Plastics in Lawrence and previously was a custodian for Topeka and Lawrence schools.

He was a member of Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation.

Survivors include his father, Dale I. Delg of Lawrence; his son, Michael A. Delg of Lawrence, KS; 2 brothers, Tony Delg (Lori) of Lawrence, KS and Tracy Delg of St. Cloud, MN and nephew, Christian Delg (Megan).

He was preceded in death by his mother, Michelle Delg.

Jason’s wishes were to be cremated. Celebration of Life will be at a later date in Lawrence. Mercer Funeral Home in Holton is assisting the family.
