MAYETTA - Janice N. Levier, 65, of Mayetta, KS died Thursday, March 15, 2007 in Lady Lake, FL. She was born November 13, 1941 in Horton, KS. She was the daughter of John and Stella Masqua Mzhickteno. She was a homemaker and a member of Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation.
She married Anthony E. Levier on June 8, 1966 in Miami, OK. He preceded her in death on November 5, 1996. She was also preceded in death by sisters, Deanna Green and Josephine Nelson; and a brother, Thomas Mzhickteno. Janice is survived by daughters, Lynda Hinojosa and her husband Robert of Lady Lake, FL and Alice Dexter of Ocala, FL; sister, Gladys Williams of Wattsburg, TN; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Native American services will be Sunday evening March 18, 2007 at the home of Mary and Joseph Jessepe west of Mayetta (15975 L4 Lane). Burial will be in the Danceground Cemetery Monday afternoon.
