James Steven Stewart, 53, of Nortonville, KS passed away Sunday June 6, 2010 at his home.
He was born February 21, 1957 in St. Joseph, Missouri the son of Leslie Eugene and Betty (Gillpatrick) Stewart. He graduated from Faucett High School in St. Joseph, MO. He was an electrical designer for 25 years.
On June 1, 1984, James married Kim Myers in Las Vegas, Nevada. She survives.
Other survivors include: his mother, Betty Duncan of St. Joseph, MO; his sons, Christopher Ryan Stewart of Nortonville, KS and Brian James Stewart who is stationed at McGuire AFB in NJ; his sister, Pam Hitchings of St. Joseph, MO; his brothers, Daniel Stewart of Wichita, Ks and Max Kendall of St. Joseph, MO; he was preceded in death by his step-dad, George Duncan and his brother Roger Stewart.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday June 11, at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Inurnment will be held at a later date in Olive Hill Cemetery. The family will greet friends at a visitation Thursday evening June 10, at Mercer Funeral Home from 6-8:00 p.m.
