James "Jim" Lyman, 62, passed away Wednesday morning August 14th, 2013 at Medicalodge Jackson County.
He was born April 20, 1951 in Frankfort, KS the son of Howard "Abe" and Bonnie (Dicus) Lyman. Shortly after graduating from Holton High School in 1970 Jim was drafted into the United States Army and proudly served his country stationed in Korea during the Vietnam War. He worked at Gossip Printing in Holton and Midwest Freight Specialists in Topeka. On February 5, 1982 he married Wanda Alflen. They later divorced.
Jim is survived by: his son, Lance Lyman and his wife Leigh of Holton, KS; his sister, Janice Ethridge of Ft. Worth, TX; and his two grandsons, Landon and Lukas Lyman. He was preceded in death by his parents, and three sisters, Marilyn Eisenbarth, Alice Leuthold and Lavonna Jantz.
A celebration of life will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, August 17th, 2013 in the Medicalodge Jackson County Chapel. Private family inurnment will be in Olive Hill Cemetery at a later date.
