James Dale Boyce, 61, Nortonville, formerly of Wichita, died Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, at a Topeka hospital.
He was born on July 15, 1951, at Atlanta, GA, the son of James Donald and Frances E. "Jean" Pennington Boyce.
Jim received both a B.A. and a J.D. degree from Wichita State University. At Wichita State he was a member of the Student Senate. He was a member of Central Christian Church in Wichita.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Donald Boyce, on April 10, 1981.
Survivors include his mother, Jean Boyce, Valley Falls; two brothers, Frank E. (Nedra) Boyce, Valley Falls, Raymond E. (Tery) Boyce, Holton; two sisters Pamela (Bill) Pfannenstiel, Garland, TX, and Donna (Robert) Johnston, Valley Falls; and many nephews and nieces.
The funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Monday, Oct. 15, 2012, at the Calvary Baptist Church in Valley Falls. Burial will follow at the Valley Falls Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Sunday, at Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls.
