Jack Elroy Troxel, 82, of Netawaka, KS passed August 22, 2013 at Holton Community Hospital. He was born March 16, 1931 in Corning, KS the son of Roy E. and Ruth Adel (Vandervort) Troxel.

Jack lived most of his life in the Netawaka community. He worked for Jackson County Road and Bridge retiring after 40 years. Jack was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Netawaka.

He married Geraldine Erna Irene Schumann on June 1, 1952 in Netawaka. They just celebrated their 61st anniversary. She survives. Other survivors include 2 daughters, Gail Painter of Smolan, KS and Mary Tinkler of Raymore, MO; a son, Roy Troxel of Denton, KS; a sister, June Powell of Petersburg, VA; 6 granddaughters; 1 grandson; twin great- granddaughters and 1 great granddaughter.

Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 26, 2013 at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in Netawaka. Burial will be in the Netawaka Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 1:00 – 3:00 p.m. Sunday at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.
