Buehler
Mayetta-Iven C. Buehler, 89, of Mayetta, died Monday, September 17, 2007 at the Midland Hospice Care in Topeka. He was born September 13, 1918 on a farm northeast of Mayetta, the son of Charles Leonard "C.L." and Edna Estella Crozier Buehler.
Mr. Buehler served in the United States Navy (Pacific Theatre) during WWII. He was a farmer and had lived in the Mayetta and Denison communities all of his life.
He married Lucy Amanda McAlexander on May 1, 1948 in Topeka. She preceded in death on April 10, 1997. He was also preceded by a sister, Evelyn Dodson and a brother, Harvey Buehler.
Survivors include 2 sons, Greg Buehler and his wife, Cathy of Mayetta, KS and Dr. Gary Buehler and his wife, Donna of Missoula, MT; a sister, Erma Coleman of Rodeo, CA; a brother, Eldon Buehler of Holton, KS; 4 grandchildren Sarah, Carrie, Heidi and Clint.
Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, September 20, 2007 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Family will greet friends from 7 – 8 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Holton Cemetery. Memorials may be given to the Midland Hospice House c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
