KROPP

MAYETTA- Ida B. Kropp, 72, of Mayetta, KS, died Friday, January 26, 2007 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was born June 5, 1934 near Meriden, KS, the daughter of Harry and Esther Edwards Chapman. She graduated from Perry High School in 1952.
Mrs. Kropp was a homemaker and attended the Denison Bible Church. She was a member of the Northeast Kansas Square Dance Association where she served as historian and held several offices for the 16-75ers Square Dance Club in Holton.
She was married to Paul F. Kropp on December 26, 1952 in Topeka, KS. He survives. She is also survived by her son, Ralph E. Kropp and his wife, Daris of Bridgeport, AL, her daughters; Esther L. Hall and her husband, Malcolm of Denison, KS, Paula J. Oestmann of Millerton, OK and Lois Kern and her husband, David of Mayetta, KS, her brother, Roscoe Keesling of Perry, KS, 14 grandchildren, 32 great-grandchildren and 12 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her infant son, James Earl Kropp and her sister, Asenath McNeil.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 30, 2007 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. The family will greet friends from 6:30 to 8:30 Monday evening at the funeral home. Cremation will follow the service and private family interment will be in Denison Cemetery at a later date.
