SOURK
WETMORE- Helen Mildred Sourk, 88, of Wetmore, KS died Wednesday, February 6, 2008 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. She was born January 9, 1920 in Whiting, KS the daughter of Fred A. and Bertha Miller Frederickson. She graduated from Corning High School and lived all her life in the Corning, Goff and Wetmore communities. She was a member of the Wetmore American Legion Auxiliary.
She was married to Clyde Sourk on February 4, 1961 in Seneca, KS. He survives. Other survivors include her sons, Jerry King of Wichita, KS, Lynn King of Manhattan, KS and Merlin King of Wetmore, KS; her brother, Lloyd Frederickson of Norwalk, CA; 6 grandchhildren and 7 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 2 sisters, Alice McKinsey and Ruth McKinsey and a brother, Charles Frederickson.
Services will be 1:30 p.m. Saturday, February 9, 2008 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Private family interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Goff, KS. She will lie in state at the funeral home where the family will greet friends from 7 to 8 p.m. Friday evening. Memorials may be given to the Humane Society or donor's choice c/o Mercer Funeral Home, Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
