Helen LaVon Nolan, 80, of Holton, KS, formerly of Wabaunsee Co., passed away Monday, June 25, 2018 south of Holton as the result of a vehicle accident. She was born May 14, 1938 in Liberal, KS, the daughter of William and Helen Catherine (Lea) Hoback.

Helen had lived for over 35 years in Wabaunsee County and had recently moved to Holton to be closer to her family. She had worked at Sears and Roebuck in Topeka and worked from home as a crafter and decorator.

Helen loved spending time with her family and grandkids. She also enjoyed her many cats.

Survivors include her 3 daughters, Deborah Michael, Carla Nolan-Ryan (Robert) and Robin Nolan all of Holton; a brother, Dean Hoback of Topeka; 4 grandchildren, Cody Kelley, Joshua Nolan, Niki McBraughty (Cormac) and Jamie Keener (Cody) and 2 great-grandchildren, Meara and Fionn.

She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Hoback and a sister, Billie Ann Stots.
