Hazel Marie McKee, 92, of Wetmore, KS passed away April 25, 2014 at Glen Moore Meadows, Holton, KS. She was born February 5, 1922 in Granada, KS the daughter of Floyd and Frances (Porter) Chase.

Hazel graduated from Wetmore High School in 1940. She was a homemaker and helped her husband on the dairy farm for many years. Hazel was a member of the Wetmore Bible Church; formerly Wetmore Baptist Church and a member of Mission Circle at the church

She married Samuel Edwin "Ed" McKee on February 14, 1942 in Holton. He preceded her in death on December 26, 2002.

Survivors include 2 sons, Roger McKee and his wife Sandi of Kansas City, MO and Charles McKee and his wife Anita of Wetmore, KS; 4 grandchildren, Francie (Scott) Clabaugh, Kevin (Tracey) McKee, Marta (Nathan) McClung and Tessa (Brian) Chipman and 7 great-grandchildren, Caleb & Hannah Chipman, Molly & Miles McClung, Mackenzi McKee and Kailen & Kacey Clabaugh.

She was preceded in death by a sister, Mildred Reaser and a brother, M. Claude Chase.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 30, 2014 at the Wetmore Bible Church. Burial will be in the Wetmore Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 1:00 – 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at the church. Hazel will lie in state at the Mercer Funeral Home until Wednesday morning.
