Harold Dean Reamer, 84, of Holton, KS passed away Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at Medicalodges of Jackson County. He was born July 4, 1932 in Holton, the son of Edgar Ennis and Maude Elizabeth (Coffin) Reamer.


Harold attended Banner Grade School and was a life-long member of the Holton community. He was a farmer and stockman. Harold also worked at BMB and Alamo Group, retiring after 30 years. He was a member of the First Christian Church in Holton.

Harold married Faye F. Barrand on January 1, 1973 in Holton. She preceded him in death on January 16, 1996. He was also preceded in death by 2 sisters, Anna Watson and Merle Johnston; a brother, Walter Reamer and 2 nieces, Sharon Boyd and Anita Farnsworth.

Survivors include many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Nieces and nephews include David Reamer (Kathy) of Holton, KS, Mary Wilson (Paul) of the Philippines and Harlene Coley of Wichita, KS.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, February 18, 2017 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow in the Holton Cemetery.
