Obituary

Harold F. "Ted" Bradford, 90 of Henrietta Township passed away Wednesday June 13, 2012 at his home following a brief illness. Ted was born July 26, 1921 in Centre Hall, PA. and spent his childhood years there. He served in the United States Army-Air Corps during W.W. II. He trained for the service in Topeka, KS where he met his future wife Ruthie James. He was discharged as a decorated veteran in 1945 and he and Ruth were married December of that same year. Ted worked as an accountant for United States Steel in Lorain for 35 years, retiring in 1982. He was an avid Cleveland Indians Baseball fan and enjoyed spending time with family and friends and a good cup of coffee. Most of all, his undying love for Ruth and their children and grandchildren will be remembered by all who knew him. Survivors include his daughters Kathryn Haigh of Shelton, WA. and Jane Battig of Wakeman; son, John Bradford of Grove City, OH. 10 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth in 1995, daughter, Barbara Bradford in 2006 and son, Edward Bradford in 1986. Memorial graveside services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 1, 2012 at Mayetta Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to New Life Hospice 5255 North Abbe Rd. Elyria, OH. 44035.
