Harold Wayne Cashier, 73, of Holton, KS left his earthly home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 23, 2012.

Harold was born on August 21, 1939 in Holton, the son of John and Marjorie Cashier. He graduated from Adrian High School in 1957. At the age of 18, Harold went to work for Goodyear Tire Company. He retired in 1998 after 40 years.

Harold was baptized in the Baptist faith, at the age of 13, in Amsterdam, MO. He was attending the Evangel United Methodist Church in Holton.

Harold loved to watch his grandchildren at their many activities. He also loved fishing with his buddies, especially the trips to Texoma Lake in Oklahoma.

He was united in marriage to Freda Bagby on August 9, 1959. To this union, four children were born; his daughter, Deborah Harshaw (Steve) of Holton, KS, his sons, Dan Cashier (Diane) of Anthony, KS, Dennis Cashier (Cathy) of Marysville, KS and Darren Cashier (Tracy) of Carbondale, KS; nine grandchildren and a great-grandson; his brother, Larry Cashier (Betty) of Holton, KS; step-father, George DeBacker of Silver Lake, KS; Step-brother, Severin DeBacker (Diane) of Topeka, KS; brother-in-law, Larry Bagby (Cheryl) of Adrian, MO.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Monday, August 27, 2012 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Interment will be in Holton Cemetery. He will lie in state at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton, where the family will greet friends from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Sunday.
