HOLTON – Grace Frances Williamson, 87, of Holton died Saturday, January 24, 2009 at the Holton Community Hospital. She was born on June 12, 1921 in Quay, OK, the daughter of William Francis and Rose Cowan Lyon.
She worked as a bookkeeper for First National Bank in Topeka, KS and later at Fourth National Bank in Wichita, KS. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Holton. She was a member of Toltec, White Shrine, Daughters of the Nile, and Past Matron of Ivy Leaf Chapter #75 Order of the Eastern Star in Wichita.
Grace married Leland R. Williamson on March 28, 1943 in Kansas City, KS. He preceded her in death in June 2000. She was also preceded in death by a sister and brother. Grace is survived by a daughter, Susan F. Williamson of Kansas City, MO; a son, David L. Williamson of Overland Park, KS; and a niece, Marla Tangen of Shoreline, WA.
Mrs. Williamson was cremated. There will be a private family service held at a later date. Memorials may be sent to American Diabetes Association c/o Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.
