HORTON- Goffrey "Jeff" L. Settle, 33, of Horton, KS passed away October 27, 2011 in Horton. He was born December 27, 1977 in Tazwell, VA the son of James M. and Margaret E. (Gentry) Settle.

Jeff graduated from Pound High School in Wise County, VA. He had lived for several years in the Horton community. Jeff worked for the Labormax of Holton.

He married Vickie M. Stattelman on March 7, 2007 in Topeka. She survives of the home. He is also survived by his mother, Margaret Settle of Mayetta; his son, Tyler Hards of Denison; his daughter, Gretchen Keithley of Branson, MO; a brother, Marvin Settle of Mayetta.

Jeff was preceded in death by his father, James M. Settle.

Funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 3, 2011 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Family will greet friends from 7:00- 8:00 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Jeff Settle Memorial Fund c/o Mercer Funeral Home P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
