Derby-Glestner L. Moore, 86, of Derby, KS passed away peacefully at her home surrounded by her daughters on Thursday, December 4th 2008.
Mrs. Moore enjoyed traveling and was an avid reader and lifelong learner. She spent her life as a homemaker, loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and friend. She was deeply devoted to her family and was happiest when surrounded by them.
She was born September 6, 1922 in Humansville, MO the daughter of George and Jessie Moulder Robinson and attended Humansville schools.
She married Billie M. Moore September 29, 1942 in Stockton, MO. He passed away December 7, 1989. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Shirley Campbell; 2 sisters and 2 brothers.
Survivors include three daughters, Billie Moore, Fullerton, CA, Nancy Dodson (Ron) of Pleasanton, KS and Terri Lemos (Kelly) of Derby, KS; a son, John Moore, of Grove, OK; two sisters, Golda Vee Hobbs of Leavenworth, KS, Nadine Campbell of Kansas City, KS; nine grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m. Saturday December 6, 2008 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be at the Holton Cemetery. Visitation will be from 7 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday evening at the funeral home.
