Geraldine Avis Langston, 95, of Nortonville, KS, passed away Monday, March 24, 2025 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, KS. She was born April 9, 1929 in Topeka, KS, the daughter of William Charles and Avis Eva (Fritz) Poyzer.

Geraldine graduated from Topeka High School. She worked for over 40 years at Santa Fe Railroad as a clerk in Topeka and Atchison.

She was a member of Rock Creek Bible Church, Helping Hands Humane Society and Topeka Public Library.

Geraldine married Donald Ernest Langston on May 30, 1987 in Silver Lake, KS. He preceded her in death on May 2, 2020; after 32 years of marriage.

Survivors include her step-son, Ronald Langston (Angie) of Nortonville, KS; 4 grandchildren, Melissa Langston, Justin Henning (Ashley), Staci Langston and Doug Langston and many great-grandchildren.

Graveside Service will be 2:30 p.m. Friday, March 28, 2025 at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Topeka, KS. Geraldine will lie in state from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls.
