Georgia Arlene "Belle" Ross, 81, of Mountain View, CA, passed away Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at her home. She was born April 23, 1940 in Mayetta, KS, the daughter of Samuel Joseph and Florence L. (Wahwassuck) Ross.

Georgia graduated from Haskell High School and attended 2 years of college at Haskell. She was a clerk for Santa Clara County Human Resourses. Georgia was a descendent of Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation and Peoria Tribe.

Survivors include her daughter, Luci Kumagai of Mountain View, CA; 2 sons, Ralph Castro (Rosa) and Michael Castro both of San Jose, CA; 2 sisters, Roberta K. Castro of Spokane, WA and Julia B. Ross of San Jose, CA; 3 brothers, Sam J. Ross of Lees Summit, MO, Russell Ross of San Jose, CA and Norman D. Ross of Mayetta, KS; 5 grandchildren; Angelica, Little Ralphie, Joseph, Jason and Kayli and 2 twin great-grandchildren; Evangeline and Evan.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel and Florence Ross; her sister, Dixie L. (Ross) Bross and her brothers, Jimmy L. Ross and Theodore D. Butler.

Graveside Services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday December 14, 2021 at the Prairie Peoples Cemetery west of Mayetta. She will lie in state until 6:00 p.m. Monday at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton, KS.
