Frederick Joseph "Fred" Shea, 84, of Holton, KS, passed away Thursday, June 2, 2022 at his home with family by his side. He was born October 6, 1937 in Lynn, MA, the son of Frederick and Arlene (Douglas) Shea.

Fred proudly served in the United States Army from 1957 – 1963; during the occupation of Europe, Korean Conflict and in Germany during the construction of the Berlin Wall.

Fred was a Jackson County Sheriff Deputy from 1968 – 1987. He worked for the State of Kansas as a Plumbing Supervisor from 1978 – 1987. He also owned and operated Fred's Pump Service and S&S Plumbing.

He was a life-time member of Holton V.F.W. Post 1367 and Disabled American Veterans.

Fred married Karen Robbins on April 17, 1992 in Holton, KS. They have celebrated over 30 years of marriage.

Survivors include his wife, Karen of the home; 2 daughters, Barbara Shea of Holton, KS and Kathleen Shea of Holton, KS; 3 sons, Kevin Shea of Holton, KS, Wade Shea of Ottawa, KS and Dennis Shea of Virginia and many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
