FREDA MARIE TUCKING
Freda Marie Tucking, 92, Valley Falls, died Wednesday, July 5, 2006, at Village Villa in Nortonville.
She was a homemaker and had worked at Slimaker Dress Factory in Holton.
She was born March 12, 1914, at Denison, the daughter of Frank and Nellie Towler Johnston. She graduated from Denison Rural High School.
She married Charles Delmar Tucking in 1938 at Nortonville. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mildred Myers, Jeneva Edwards, and Leona Hodges, and a great granddaughter, Jamie Turner.
Survivors include her husband, Charles Delmar Tucking SR, of the home; two sons, Charles Delmar Tucking JR, Topeka, and Gary F. Tucking, Valley Falls; four grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and a great great granddaughter.
A graveside memorial service will be at 2:00 pm, Saturday, at the Valley Falls Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the Jefferson County Humane Society and sent in care of Mercer Funeral Home, 810 Broadway, Valley Falls, KS 66088. www.mercerfuneralhomes.com
