SMITH
Frank L. Smith, 79, of Topeka, died Thursday, June 22, 2006 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka. He was born October 3, 1926 in Kansas City, the son of J. B. and Lula J. Warner Smith. He attended high school in Kansas City and later graduated from the University of Kansas.
Frank was a retired Lt. Col. in the United States Air Force retiring in 1973. He piloted B-52 bombers. He flew several missions in Vietnam. He attended the First Baptist Church in Topeka.
Frank married Roxanne Arnold. He later married Nancy Plummer. He is survived by sons, Bradley Smith and Brian Smith both of Topeka. He was preceded in death by a son, Grant W. Smith and brothers, Jim and George Smith.
Services will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 26, 2006 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in the Holton Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 10:00 a.m. till service time Monday.
