Frank Fredrick "Bud" Brosa Jr., 79, Topeka, died Sunday, Dec. 3, 2017, at his home.
He was born April 2, 1938, at Valley Falls, the son of Frank Fredrick and Frances Fern Bledsoe Brosa Sr. He graduated from Valley Falls High School in 1957,
and served in the Kansas National Guard.
Bud was a machine operator at the Lawrence, KS, Paper Company for many years. He was a welder and had worked at Hydra-Tool in Topeka. He was a member of the former Moose Lodge No. 555 in Topeka.
Even though he was named after his father, he preferred to be called, "Bud". He loved camping, boating and Christmas (especially Christmas Angels). He had a unique belt buckle collection that he was proud to display.
Survivors include his daughter, Julie Cereghino, and her husband, Al, Olympia, WA; brother, Jerry Brosa, and his wife Christine, McLouth; three grandsons, Anthony Leo, Corey David, and Curtis Frank Cereghino; and one great-granddaughter, Julianna Jae Cereghino.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Frank Fredrick Sr. and Fern Brosa, and a brother, Albert Brosa.
Inurnment will be at the Valley Falls Cemetery at a later date.
