Florence E. Cattrell, 91, of Holton, KS passed away Tuesday, March 17, 2015 at Medicalodge Jackson County. She was born January 17, 1924 in Ordway, CO the daughter of William and Josephine "Josie" (Kulhanek) Burton.

Florence attended school in Birmingham and had lived all of her life in the Jackson County communities. She was a homemaker. Florence had also sold Avon and was a custodian for Moser Clinic for many years.

Florence was a member of the First United Methodist Church and also a member of Circle at the church.

She married Ralph Dilman Cattrell on December 25, 1943 in Holton. He preceded her in death on March 3, 2005. She was also preceded by 2 sisters, Edna Taylor and Ruby Wheeler and 2 brothers, Everett and Marvin Burton.

Survivors include 4 daughters, Phyllis Tannahill of Holton, Wilma Mosher (Melvin) of Odessa, MO, Connie Woltje (Ernie) of Circleville and Mary Vaincourt (Ross) of Holton; 2 sons, Larry Cattrell (Rita) of Circleville and Charles Cattrell (Ardeth) of Topeka; and 12 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, March 20, 2015 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will follow in the Holton Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation. Memorials may be given to the First United Methodist Church c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
