HITTLE
TOPEKA-Evelyn Fern Hittle, 79, of Topeka, passed away September 29, 2007 at her home. She was born October 19, 1927, in Holton, the daughter of Alva Bryan and Vergie Leota Merritt Patch. She attended school in Granada and lived in Goff, KS before moving to Topeka in 1953. She was a homemaker and worked at the poultry and egg plant in Goff.
Evelyn married Ivan Leroy Hittle on October 19, 1946. He preceded her in death on June 27, 2006. Survivors include her son, Wayne Hittle and his wife, Alice of Topeka; sister, Betty Huss and her husband, Marvin of Topeka; brother, John Patch and his wife, Nancy of Goff; 2 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by an infant son, Bryan Henry Hittle; sister, Kathryn Savage; brothers, Loren "Bud" Bloom and Irvin Bloom.
Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, October 4, 2007 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Visitation will be from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Wednesday evening at the funeral home. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery in Goff, KS. Memorials may be given to Heart of America Hospice c/o Mercer Funeral Home, Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
