CLAYCAMP

WETMORE- Evelyn Marie Claycamp, 94, of Wetmore, died Monday, December 11, 2006 at a Holton care facility. She was born December 26, 1911 in Burr Oak, KS, the daughter of Alvin G. and Nellie M. Pierson Smith. She lived most of her married life in the Wetmore community.
Evelyn had worked as a cook for the Bancroft Schools and later worked for Slimaker Dress Factory in Holton for over 21 years. She was a member of the Bancroft Community Church and Slimaker Retired Employees Association.
She was married to Eldon L. Claycamp on September 28, 1927. He died in 1963. She is survived by her sons; Everett Claycamp of Edgar, NE, Edgar Claycamp of Wetmore, KS and Ed Claycamp of Topeka, KS, her daughter, Ethabelle "Bonnie" Kranz of Denison, KS and many grandchildren. She was preceded in death by 5 sons; Eugene, Ervin, Emmett, Ernest and Edwin, her daughter, Ellen Davis, her brother, Carl A. Smith and her sister, Irene Schoen.
Services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, December 15, 2006 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in Wetmore Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 6:30 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the funeral home.
