Estella N. (Wells) Danner, age 82, of Holton, KS passed away Saturday, July 20, 2024 at the Holton Community Hospital in Holton, KS. She was born July 27, 1941 the daughter Frank L. and Bessie A. (Selby) Wells. She graduated from Elk City High School in 1959 in Elk City, OK. She also attended business school in Wichita Falls, TX.

Estella lived in various places throughout the Midwest and eventually made Holton, Kansas her home in 1972. She worked most of her life as the owner for Midwest Construction Company. Estella was a member of the Kansas Contractors Association and St. Dominic Catholic Church in Holton.

On July 27, 1960, Estella was united in marriage to Victor Edward Danner in Wichita Falls, TX. They shared over forty-one years of marriage before Victor passed away on July 4, 2001. To this union they shared three children; Debra, Brett and Jean.

She was preceded in death by her parents Frank and Bessie; a daughter, Debra Morris; a grandson, Jackson E. Danner; two sisters, Wilda Bea Lucas and Wilma Lee Harrison; and a brother, Floyd L. Wells.

Estella is survived by Brett Danner (Carole) of Topeka, KS and her daughter, Jean McCauley (Travis) of Holton, KS; five grandchildren, Madison Morris (Breanna), Garison Morris, Logan Fornelli, Danner and Sterrett McCauley, and three great-grandchildren, Brody, Ryker, and Ella Morris.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 11:15 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton, KS with the burial to follow at Mt. Calvary Catholic Cemetery. Estella will lie-in-state 8 a.m. – 6 p.m., Tuesday, July 23, 2024 at Mercer Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 10-11 a.m. Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at Mercer Funeral Home.
