Holton- Erma Louise Fisher, 93, of Holton, died Tuesday, September 18, 2007 at a Topeka hospital. She was born April 12, 1914 in Goff, KS, the daughter of John and Elsie Thieme Gruetze.
She graduated from Wetmore High School and taught elementary school in country schools. She was a farmwife while in Soldier and had worked at the Jackson County Courthouse and J.C. Penney's in Holton. Erma and her husband moved to Holton in 1973. She was a member of the 1st United Methodist Church in Holton and the Unity Circle at the church.
She married C. Harlan Fisher on April 23, 1940 in Soldier, KS. He died July 11, 1987. She was also preceded in death by a son Paul Gene Fisher in 1995, one sister and 5 brothers.
Survivors include a daughter-in-law, Dotti Fisher of Hoyt, KS; a brother, Kenneth Gruetze of Belton, MO; and 2 granddaughters, Shelley Fisher and Staci Fisher both of Topeka, KS.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m., Saturday, September 22, 2007 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Family will greet friends 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. Friday evening.
