EMMY WIBELIUS FUEHRER
Emmy Wibelius Fuehrer, 97, Oskaloosa, died Tuesday, May 20, 2008, at Hickory Pointe Care Center in Oskaloosa.
She was born on March 20, 1911, at Memel, Germany, the daughter of Karl August and Anna Dorothea Kloess Wibelius.
She worked at the Raytheon Manufacturing Plant in Stamford, CT retiring in 1974. She lived in Florida until 1998.
She married Erich F. Fuehrer on Aug. 20, 1942, at Memel, Germany. They immigrated to the United States in 1954. Erich died on April 25, 2001.
Survivors include a son, Peter Fuehrer, Westminster, CO; a daughter, Monika Funnell, Topeka; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Cremation is planned and a private graveside service will be at the Valley Falls Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Alzheimer's Disease and Related Disorders and sent in care of Mercer Funeral Home, 810 Broadway, Valley Falls, KS 66088.
