EMMA MAE CHILES HARVEY
HOLTON- Emma M. Chiles Harvey, 90, of Holton, KS passed away Monday, August 10, 2009 in Holton. She was born May 23, 1919 in Leon, KS, the daughter of Neil and Mary Gaskill Brenner. Emma was a homemaker and lived most of her life in the Holton community.
She was married to John A. Chiles on June 25, 1941. He died in 1979. Survivors include her sons, John A. Chiles, Jr. (Glenna) of Holton, KS and Carl E. Chiles (Pinna) of Tallahassee, FL; daughters, Wilma M. Dowd (Hank) of Holton, KS, Ruth J. Novinger (Jim) of Doddridge, AR and Irene L. Chiles in Texas; 11 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, August 14, 2009 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in Circleville Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Bethany Baptist Church c/o Mercer Funeral Home, Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
