WETMORE- Emil Robert "Bob" Mauersberger, 79, of Wetmore, KS passed away Friday August 26, 2011 at Midland Hospice House in Topeka.
He was born January 7, 1932 in Elgin, OK the son of Emil and Addie (Shumaker) Mauersberger. He attended Shumaker Country Grade School in Wetmore and graduated from Wetmore High School in 1950. He was a lifelong member of the Wetmore community and was a farmer on the family farm. He also worked for American Dairy in Sabetha and retired in 1996 after 23 years.
Bob was always willing to help out family, friends and neighbors in time of need. He was a hard worker who loved to laugh.
Bob married Ruth "Elaine" Yates on June 6, 1970 in St. Joseph, Missouri. She preceded him in death on January 8, 2003. He is survived by his sister, Hilda Kranz of Holton; his brother, Carl Mauersberger of Wetmore, KS and 8 nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton with burial following in the Wetmore Cemetery. The family will greet friends one hour prior to service.
