Elmer Paul Kuglin, 90, of Holton, KS passed away October 20, 2012 at Medicalodge Jackson County. He was born January 2, 1922 west of Holton the son of Paul and Elsie (Dick) Kuglin.

Elmer was a life-long member of the Holton community. He graduated from Holton High School in 1940. Elmer was a farmer on the family farm west of Holton. He was also a school bus driver for USD 336 for many years. He was a member of the Evangel United Methodist in Holton, a member of Vanguards Sunday School Class and later a member of Volunteer Sunday School Class.

Elmer married Ada L. Bergman on August 22, 1948 in Netawaka, KS. She preceded him in death on October 29, 2009.

Survivors include a son, Ron Kuglin and his wife Sherry; a brother, David Kuglin and 3 grandsons, Andy, Ben and Sam Kuglin all of Holton; 2 nephews, Troy Kuglin of McClouth, KS and John Quinton of Kansas City, KS and 2 nieces, Ann Jones of Council Bluffs, IA and Kay Smith of Wetmore, KS.

Funeral service will be 10:30 a.m. Friday, October 26, 2012 at the Evangel United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Holton Cemetery. Family will greet friends 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Thursday evening at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Memorials may be given to the church c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
