Elizabeth Jane Breitsprecher, 85, Topeka, formerly of Valley Falls, died Thursday, June 2, 2016, at a care facility in Topeka.

She was born Aug. 31, 1930, at Topeka, the daughter of Oliver Wendell and Nancy Ellen Neith Morse. She had been a member of East Side Baptist Church in Topeka, the Valley Falls Chamber of Commerce and the Rebekah Lodge in Topeka.

Jane had been a cook for 20 years at Valley Health Care in Valley Falls. She had worked in the laundry departments for American Linen and St. Francis Health Center, and as a Nurse's Aide at Eventide Convalescent Center, all in Topeka.

She married Eugene J. Breitsprecher, Nov. 12, 1981. He died June 18, 2013. She was also preceded in death by two brothers, Robert and Junior Morse, and two sisters, Norma Morse and Mary Prosser.

Survivors include a sister, Margaret Kelley, Independence, MO; four sons, Jerry (Diane) Morse, Raymond (Beverly) Stone, Larry Stone, all of Topeka, and Glen (Marsha) Stone, Macon, GA; two daughters, Judy Stone and Glenna (Geraldo) Ortiz, both of Topeka; 12 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be at 2:30 p.m. Monday, June 6, 2016, at Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls. Burial will follow at the Valley Falls Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00-4:00 p.m. Sunday.
