HARNESS

TOPEKA- Elizabeth Dorothy "Bobby" Harness, 79, of Topeka, formerly of Mayetta, died Thursday, November 23, 2006 at a Topeka hospital.
She was born April 27, 1927 in Mayetta, KS, the daughter of Joe and Mary June LaClair Eteeyan. She attended school in Genoa, Nebraska. She moved to Topeka from Mayetta many years ago. She was a member of the Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation.
She was married to Virgil Harness. He preceded her in death. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Ingrid Harness and two brothers, Archie and Bill Eteeyan.
Survivors include 5 sons; Warren "Hardy" Eteeyan and Donald Allen both of Mayetta, John Navaro and Jeffrey Harness both of Topeka and Edward Barns of Macy, NE, a daughter, Rose Eteeyan in New Jersey, a sister, Julia LaClair of Mayetta, 20 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, November 27, 2006 at Prairie People's Cemetery on the Potawatomi Reservation west of Mayetta. She will lie in state beginning Sunday at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton where family will greet friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday evening.
