Elinor Worth Contillo, 92, of Hallandale Beach, Florida passed away October 6, 2014 at her home. She was born January 6, 1922 in Soldier, KS the daughter of Thomas and Dollye (Harris) Rawlings.
Elinor was a professional dancer and dance instructor in New York and Florida. In the 1970's Elinor and her husband Philp, owned and operated Stardust Ballroom in Hollywood, FL; until retirement in 1998.
She married Philip Contillo on July 24, 1966 in Oahu, Hawaii. He preceded her in death on July 29, 2002. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Ward Rawling in 1969.
Survivors include numerous cousins.
Graveside services will be 9:30 a.m. Monday, October 13, 2014 at Havensville Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 4:00 -5:00 p.m. Sunday at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Memorials may be given to the Havensville Christian Church c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
