Elijah Masquat, 45, of Lawrence, KS, passed away Monday, April 6, 2026 in Lawrence. He was born September 9, 1980 in Topeka, KS, the son of Tracey Lee Masquat and Minnie Nevada (Brooks) Thomas.
Elijah was a self-employed dry wall finisher working various jobs around Kansas.
He was a member of Drum Religion and Prairie Band Potawatomi Nation.
Elijah and Brandi Brassfield had 2 sons; they later separated.
Survivors include his father, Tracey L. Masquat of Lawrence, KS; mother, Minnie Thomas of Kansas City, KS; 2 sons, Myles Masquat and Tymber Masquat both of Collinsville, OK; granddaughter, Yazmine and 3 brothers, Tracey Masquat II of Kansas City, MO, Matthew Thomas of Kansas City, KS and Ivan Habben of Lawrence, KS.
Graveside Service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 14, 2026 at Danceground Cemetery.
