Obituary
Eleanor J. Sears, 92, Winchester, formerly of Valley Falls and Tulsa, OK, died Thursday, Oct. 5, 2017, at F.W. Huston Senior Living Center at Winchester.
She was born Feb. 7, 1925, at Tulsa, OK, the daughter of Ralph L. and Susie Brannon Hahn. She graduated from Tulsa Central High School and had attended the University of Tulsa.
Eleanor, along with her mother, was co-owner of R.L. Hahn Wholesale Automotive Supply in Tulsa. She was a member of All Souls Unitarian Church, Unitarian Women's Association, and Friends of the Tulsa Public Library, all at Tulsa.
She married Vernon R. Sears. He died in 1980. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, John Kraft III.
Survivors include her daughter, Susan (Jim) Phillips, Valley Falls; two sons, two sons, Carl (Sheila) Sears, Arlington, VA, and Michael (Melanie) Sears, Alexandria, VA; and three grandchildren, Ryan (Alisha) Sears, Lillian Quinn Sears, and Julia Claire Sears.
A private Memorial Service and inurnment will be at the Rose Hill Cemetery in Tulsa at a later date. Memorial contributions may be made to the Delaware Township Library and sent in care of Mercer Funeral Home, PO Box 6, Valley Falls, KS 66088.
