Obituary

Elaine Myrtle Hubach, 74, of Mayetta, KS passed away Sunday, September 10, 2017. She was born November 8, 1942 in Lusk, WY the daughter of Rev. Millard and Myrtle (Paulson) Marshall.

Elaine graduated from Onaga High School in 1960 and attended 2 years at Emporia State University.

She lived in the Mayetta and Denison area for the past 44 years. She was a homemaker and housewife. Elaine was a member of the Mayetta United Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star.

Elaine married Ted Hubach on April 8, 1967 in Keosauqua, IA. He survives of the home. Other survivors include 2 daughters, Diana Kern (Adam) of Meriden, KS and Audrey Howard (Peter) of Boxford, MA; a sister, Laurel Becker of Augusta, KS; 4 grandchildren, Jeremy Kern, Tana Kern, Peter Howard, Jr. and Andy Howard and 3 great-grandchildren, Jacie, McKenzie, Brodie and another on the way.

She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Bill Marshall.

Memorial Service will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 14, 2017 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Family will greet friends from 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the Mayetta United Methodist Church c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
