HOLTON – Efrain Caballero-Erives, 74, of Holton, KS passed away Friday, January 21, 2022 at the Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka, KS. He was born on April 9, 1947 in Chihuahua, Mexico the son of Cruz Caballero and Dolores Erives.

On April 22, 1972, Efrain was united in marriage to Olga A. (Miramontes) in Mexico. They shared over 50 years of marriage. To this union they shared four children, Norman Efrain, Hernan Isaac, Olga ILiana and Leticia.

Efrain worked over ten years at the Banner Creek Meat Processing Plant in Holton, KS.

Efrain enjoyed fishing, shooting and collecting guns. Most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He will be greatly missed!

Survivors include his wife Olga of the home; 4 children, Norman Efrain Caballero M. (Kareli) of Holton, KS, Hernan Isaac Caballeros M. (Alejandra) of Holton, KS, Olga ILiana Caballero M. of Holton, KS and Leticia Caballero M. of Holton, KS; 1 sister, Carmen Caballero E. of Mexico and Librado Caballero E. of Mexico; 10 grandchildren and 2 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be held from 6-8:00 P.M. Monday, January 24, 2022 with the rosary to be recited at 7:30 P.M. at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Efrain will lie-in-state Monday from 8:30 a.m. until the visitation.  Mass will be 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, January 25, 2022 at the Mercer Funeral Home.  Cremation is planned with private family burial at a later date in Mexico.
