Edward Stiger Dunn, 75, of Holton, KS passed away June 17, 2010 at the Holton Community Hospital after a battle with cancer. He was born September 4, 1934 in Holton the son of Edward S. and Zoe (O'Leary) Dunn.
He graduated from Holton High School in 1952. He attended Kansas State University where he played football. He later received his Juris Doctor from the University Of Kansas School of Law.
Edward worked as an attorney and farmer in the Holton community for many years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Holton. He was also a member of the Holton Rotary Club, the Masonic Lodge, Odd Fellows Club and the Kansas Bar Association.
He was married to Susan Gayle Heller on December 30, 1977 in Holton. She survives. Other survivors include his daughters, Alexandria S. Morrissey (Eric) of Wetmore, KS and Elizabeth Carolyn Zoe Dunn of the home; his son, Edward S. Dunn III (Tiffany) of Topeka, KS; 2 grandchildren, Noah S. Dunn and Lillian N. Dunn. He was preceded in death by his half-sister, Kathryn Randle and his half-brother, Gordon Alexander Dunn.
Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, June 22, 2010 at the First United Methodist Church in Holton. Interment will be in Holton Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday evening at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.
