BAUSCH
HOYT- Edward Marvin Bausch, 84, of Hoyt, Kansas, died Monday, March 20, 2006 at a Topeka hospital.
He was born January 2, 1922 east of Hoyt, the son of Jacob George and Maude Seely Bausch. He graduated from Mayetta High School in 1940. He was a farmer and stockman in the Hoyt and Mayetta communities all of his life.
He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Mayetta and had also attended Assumption Catholic Church in Topeka. He was a charter member of the National Farmer's Organization. He enjoyed restoring old Allis Chalmers tractors in his spare time.
He was married to Dorothy Marie Hug on September 24, 1942 in Holton. She survives. Other survivors include his sons, Richard Bausch and his wife, Helen of Mayetta, Dale Bausch and his wife, Deborah of Hoyt, Lyle Bausch and his wife, Mystel of Hoyt, his sister, Patricia Schwermann and her husband, Bernard of Topeka, his brother, Ivan "Bob" Bausch and his wife, Barbara of Mayetta, 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
Mass of Christian Burial will be 10:30 a.m. Thursday, March 23, 2006 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Mayetta. Interment will be in St. Joseph Cemetery in Hoyt. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday evening with visitation to follow at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.
