Obituary

Edna Lorraine Fields, 84, Winchester, formerly of Ogdensburg N.Y., died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2012, at the Senior Living Center at the FW Huston Medical Center at Winchester.
She was born on April 30, 1928, at Iroquois, Ontario, the daughter of William and Mae Millar Simms. She graduated from the Ogdensburg Free Academy in 1945 and from Wallace Secretarial school in 1946.
Edna was the Executive Office Secretary at McCadam Cheese Co. at Heuvelton, N.Y. for 31 years. She had been a member and treasurer of the Lisbon, N.Y. Reformed Presbyterian Church. She later joined the Winchester Reformed Presbyterian Church. She was a volunteer for 14 years for the Hospice of St. Lawrence County in New York.
She married Webster Fields on Oct. 29, 1949, at Ogdensburg. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Millar, William and Malcolm Simms and a sister, Jean Livingston.
Survivors include her husband, Webster, of the home, a son, Paul (Kim) Fields. Lowell, MI; two daughters, Jane Fields, Syracuse, N.Y., and Ruth (Rick) McFarland, Winchester; and four grandchildren, Erin Fields, Ian (Rachel) Fields, Jordan McFarland and Emily McFarland
The memorial service will be at 2:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 4, 2012, at the Winchester Reformed Presbyterian Church. Visitation will be at the church one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be at a later date at Lisbon Cemetery White Church in New York. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Senior Living Center at the FW Huston Medical Center and sent in care of Mercer Funeral Home at PO Box 6, Valley Falls, KS 66088.
