Obituary
Earnest Chester Cropper, 70, Iola, died Tuesday, Jan. 21, 2014, at the Iola Nursing Center.
He was born on Nov. 27, 1943, at Winchester, the son of Marron John and Mildred Thorp Cropper. He attended Valley Falls High School.
He was preceded in death by his parents, a brother Edward Lee Cropper, and two sisters, Delores Ann Nieman and Elsie Pearl Kruse. Survivors include three brothers, Marron Charles Cropper, San Antonio, TX, Richard Dean Cropper, Topeka, and Robert John Cropper, Lawrence; three sisters, Mary Catherine Downs, Lawrence; Ida Mae Beam, Olathe, and Virginia Elizabeth Bowen, Valley Falls; and many nephews and nieces.
A Memorial Service will be at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, April 5, 2014, at Mercer Funeral Home in Valley Falls. Cremation has taken place and inurnment will be at the Nortonville Cemetery.
