Mayetta – Durinda "Dee" Jean Jacobson, 71, of Mayetta, KS, passed away Tuesday, November 7, 2023 at her home in Mayetta. She was born January 1, 1952 the daughter of Lowell D. and Helen Jean (Lovett) Walker.

Dee graduated from Highland Park High School in 1970. She was a licensed Mental Health Technician for over 10 years at Menninger's Hospital in Topeka, KS. Dee was also a Mental Health Technician for over 5 years at the Topeka State Hospital. She spent most of her working career as a special education school bus para at the Royal Valley School District for over 12 years.

On September 1, 1986, Dee married Charles A. Jacobson in Topeka, KS. They shared over 37 years of marriage.

Dee was an avid flea market and garage sale shopper. She also enjoyed reading and traveling with her husband, Charles.

Dee is survived by her husband Charles of the home; 4 daughter, Stacie Engstom (Joe) of Milton, FL, Ginny Jacobson of Osage City, KS, Janell Jacobson of Kansas City, KS and Jaclyn Palone (Tim) of Oklahoma City, OK; sister, Susan DeLong (Larry) of Burlington, KS; 5 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.
