MEISTER
HOLTON- Douglas Adrian Meister, 47, of Holton, died Friday, August 18, 2006 at Stormont Vail Hospital in Topeka.
He was born September 5, 1958 in Syracuse, NY, the son of Adrian Lewis and Edna L. Mason Meister. He attended school in Baldwinsville, NY.
Doug had lived in the Holton community for the past 20 years. He had previously lived in Winfield, KS. He was currently working as a truck driver for Hunt Transportation out of Omaha, NE. He had previously worked as an oil rig operator for BNS Well Service in Winfield, KS and as a truck driver for CTS out of Wichita, KS.
He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Holton. He was also a member of the Jackson County Wrestling Club.
He was married to Sandra L. Smith on November 21, 1980 in Winfield, KS. She survives. Other survivors include his parents; Adrian Lewis Meister of Tully, NY and Edna Clark of Palmyra, VA, his daughter, Shannacy Schimmel of Holton, his son, Aaron Meister of Holton, his sister, Marcine McBride of New York, his brothers, Steve Meister of Acton, MA and Randy Meister of Boalsberg, PA, 3 grandsons, Kegan, Chase and Zachary.
Services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, August 23, 2006 at the First Baptist Church in Holton. Burial will be in Holton Cemetery. Family will greet friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday evening at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton.
