Obituary

HOLTON- Dorothy May Tribble, 83, of Holton, KS went home to be with Jesus and her beloved husband, Tommy, Friday evening, January 8, 2010 at her home.
She was born on Dec. 21, 1926, at Weeping Water, NE, the daughter of Charles Allen and Iva Belle Baker Major. Dorothy was a homemaker, wife, mother, grandmother and the heart and soul of her family. She had also worked for several years for JC Penny in Holton. She was a member of the Soldier United Methodist Church, United Methodist Women, the Soldier Bridge Club, Rosebud Club and the Orchard Club in Holton.
She married Wilford Thomas "Tommy" Tribble on Dec. 25, 1943, at Maryville, MO. He passed away June 18, 2009. She was also preceded in death by her sisters, Betty Ann Lawrence and Kathryn Frueh and her brothers, Charles and Everett Major.
Survivors include her son, Alan Lee Tribble (Louella), Topeka; her daughters, Beverly Jean Keehn (Sam), Linda Sue Rieschick (LeRoy), and Kathleen Lynnette Flesher (Phil), all of Soldier; her sister, Doris Daugherity, St. Joseph, MO; 12 grandchildren and 31 great-grandchildren.
The funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 13, 2010 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Burial will be in Soldier Cemetery. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday evening at the funeral home.
