Dorothy Delk Diehl, 103, Kansas City, MO, died Saturday, April 28, 2018, at an Overland Park, KS care facility.
She was born April 3, 1915, at Valley Falls, the daughter of Ampie and Minnie Booth Delk. She graduated from Valley Falls High School in 1933.
Dorothy owned Dorothy's Fabrics in Valley Falls until 1981, when she relocated the business to Leavenworth and operated it there until 1984. She retired and moved to Kansas City, MO, in 1984.
Dorothy was a former member of the Valley Falls United Methodist Church and the Rebekah Lodge No. 652.
She married Leland C. Diehl, July 30, 1950, at Long Beach, CA. He preceded her in death July 5, 1990.
Survivors include a great-niece, Kathy Garrison, Highlands Ranch, CO; two great-great-nephews and one great-great-niece.
Inurnment will be at the Valley Falls Cemetery at a later date.
