Doris Widerburg, 84, of Lawrence, KS, formerly of Overbrook, passed away Thursday, February 22, 2018 at her home. She was born September 28, 1933 in Valencia, KS, the daughter of Virgil H. and Agnes (Banaka) Snoddy.

Doris graduated Rossville High School. She had lived in the Overbrook community for 25 years. She had also previously lived in Lawrence for 9 years, Topeka for 14 years and Los Angeles, CA for 5 years. Doris was a homemaker.

Survivors include her 2 daughters, Elizabeth G. Stewart (Alan) of Lenexa, KS and Jennifer L. Unekis (David) of Lawrence; her son, Lewis Tyrone "Ty" Rinehart (Nancy) of Baldwin City, KS; 5 grandchildren, Rory Moran, Joshua Moran and Adeline Grace Unekis, Aubrey and Rhett Rinehart and great-grandson, Corwin Moran.

Funeral Service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, February 27, 2018 at the Mercer Funeral Home in Holton with burial to follow in the Netawaka Cemetery. Family will greet friends Tuesday morning from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. Memorials may be given to the Mid-America Nutrition Program or Prairie Paws Animal Shelter both in Ottawa c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O.
