CIRCLEVILLE- Doris Jane Rash, 78, of Circleville, KS passed away February 28, 2009 at her home on the farm north of Circleville. She was born April 18, 1930 in Holton, KS the daughter of Fred W. and Cora Ella Miller Fernkopf.
Doris graduated from Circleville High School in 1948. She was a lifelong member of the Circleville community. She retired after 50 years of service as a postmaster in Circleville. She was a member of the Circleville United Methodist Church, Eastern Star, Mustang Camping Club, United Methodist Women, Ayli Club, NARFE and past member of the Circleville Saddle Club.
She married Glen Leroy Rash on October 6, 1950 in Holton. He passed away September 16, 2006. She was also preceded in death by a son Robert William Rash and two brothers Clyde and Warren Fernkopf.
Survivors include two sons, Harmon L. Rash (Debra) of Holton and Michael F. Rash (Kay) of Circleville; 4 grandchildren, Micah Moore (Justin), Austin Rash (Nikki), Jason Rash and Trent Rash and 3 great grandchildren, Mark Mavrovich, Jarrett-Wayne Moore and Ava Rash.
Funeral service will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 03, 2009 at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Family will greet friends from 5:00 - 6:30 p.m. Monday evening at the funeral home.
