Doris I. Baldwin, 74, of Topeka, KS passed away February 25, 2013 at her home. She was born July 25, 1938 in Topeka the daughter of Albert Leland and Delia Ellen (May) Hayes.

Doris attended grade school and junior high school in Holton, later attended Highland Park High School. She lived most of her life in Topeka. Doris worked 10 years for Frito Lay, 20 years as a CNA in Topeka and retired after 10 years at Jostens. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Holton.

Doris married Gary R. Baldwin on April 9, 1955 in Topeka. He preceded her in death on April 23, 2006. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Rose (Baldwin) Jackson; 3 brothers, Melvin, Charles G. and Leland Hayes; 2 grandchildren, Amy Jackson and Glenn Baldwin and a great grandson, Bradley Meggison.

Survivors include 2 sons, Terry Baldwin (Tammy) and Gary J. Baldwin (Christina) both of Topeka; 2 daughters, Deborah Meggison (Bob) of Berryton and Rexann Myers (Doug) of Topeka; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday, March 2, 2013 at Mt. Olive Cemetery (on St. Clere Rd.). Family will greet friends 6-8:00 p.m. Friday evening at Mercer Funeral Home in Holton. Memorials may be given to the Midland Hospice House c/o Mercer Funeral Home, P.O. Box 270, Holton, KS 66436.
